Jared Goff And The Lions Might Be The Team To Beat This Year

The Detroit Lions are by far my favorite team and should be Americas favorite team as well. I mean what is not to like about this team? The defense just absolutely exceeded expectations this season and looks like it will continue to do so. The offense is explosive and could drop 40 on any team’s head. And Dan Campbell is just a coach that you cannot help but root for. I decided that ever since Jared Goff got to the Lions that they were my team. I think that the hate that Jared Goff receives is completely unwarranted and he has proved me right. Aidan Hutchinson has proved me wrong as well time and time again. The kid is just an absolute animal and looks like a Viking coming to take over towns with his face paint on during the games. Am I saying that I think the Lions are going to go on and win a Super Bowl this season? No, but do I think they are going to give the 49ers a run for their money in the NFC? Absolutely.

Jared Goff is arguably one of the best QBs in the NFL and if you disagree you are just flat out wrong. The kid has proved that he can take a team to the Super Bowl already, he proved he can win in the playoffs, and proved that as long as he has weapons to throw to, he is dangerous. Yet everyone wants to say that he is not the guy, and the Lions need to move on. I do not get that sentiment. I think the Lions need to hold on to this guy and make him their long-term starting QB. Yeah, he was on a 1-win Lions team, but any QB in the NFL at the time would not have helped that team win any games. Look what he is doing now, they are just tearing teams apart this season and did at the end of last season as well. Goff is a great leader for this team to have. He is also the guy that you need if you want to go anywhere in the playoffs. He is just someone that you need to help you win games. He throws a rocket down the field, and it is usually right on target, he has ball security like no other, and he can make some moves out of the pocket if need be. He should honestly be the front runner for the MVP right now. Somehow Brock Purdy is, and the kid literally has the greatest weapons in the history of the NFL.

The only thing that I thought was going to hold this team back was the defense and clearly, I was wrong. I mean I knew this defense was not going to be this terrible defense or anything like that, but I did not think that they would be this good. They are proving everyone wrong, and I love it. Aidan Hutchinson is also just an absolute animal. The kid is coming for your QB every snap. I thought that he was going to be one of these overrated Big 10 kids coming out of college, but boy was I wrong. He should have been the first pick in the draft that year and frankly I am now shocked he wasn’t. This defense is going to be giving a lot of teams trouble and I think the Lions are going to be someone you are going to have to watch out for come playoff time.
